SBI PO – Probationary Officers in SBI

The SBI PO Exam is conducted by the Central Recruitment Board for the recruitment of candidates as Probationary Officers. The willing candidates age should be above 21 years and less than 30 years. The SC/ST/OBC candidates can enjoy age limit relaxation as per the rules. The willing candidate must be a citizen of India. For taking the SBI PO Exam, the candidate must be a graduate. Hiring manager considers CA, ICWA, CS, MBA and PGDBM degree equivalent to graduation. The SBI PO Exam Pattern consists of two steps, i.e. written test and group discussion & face to face interview.

The written exam (Preliminary and mains) includes the objective test and descriptive paper. The objective test covers Reasoning, English, General Awareness, Marketing & Computers and Quantitative Aptitude sections. The descriptive paper is conducted to evaluate the knowledge of the English language. The qualifying candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Interview. The shortlisted candidates from group discussion and interview will be considered for final selection.

SBI Clerk – SBI Clerical Grade Exam

The SBI Clerk examination is held annually to recruit the clerical cadre in SBI and its associate banks, generally clerk, agricultural clerks, typist (English), typist (English and Hindi), clerk-cum-cashier, telephone operators, steno (English), steno (Hindi), steno (English and Hindi),clerk-cum-godown keeper and data entry operators posts are filled on the basis of this examination.

The willing candidate should be an Indian citizen and must possess a valid residence certificate. General category candidate must fall in the age bracket of 18 to 28 years and reserved category candidates can enjoy the age relaxation as per the govt rules. SBI Clerical Grade Exam involves two stages i.e. written test (Preliminary and Mains) and interview. This written test includes the objective and descriptive type of paper. It is mandatory for the candidates to clear each of the objective and descriptive tests separately. The descriptive paper is conducted to measure the higher order cognitive abilities of candidates. The successful candidates will be called for interview. The shortlisted candidates will be considered for the final selection.

SBI Specialist Officer Exam – SO Exam

The SBI Specialist Officer Exam is held annually for the recruitment of the candidates as SO in SBI. The SBI Specialist Officers Recruitment Exam consists of two steps, i.e. written test and an interview. The written exam includes an objective test. The list of these Specialist Officers along with their eligibility criteria are:-

I.T. Officer (Scale-I)

  • The candidate must be between the age of 20-35 Years.
  • Must have a Degree in Computer Applications/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Electronics/ Electronics & Telecommunications/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation
    OR
  • A Post Graduate Degree in Electronics & Tele Communication/ Electronics/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Computer Applications
    OR
  • A Graduate having passed DOEACC ‘B’ level.
  • The degree must be from a recognized institute/university.


Agricultural Field Officer (Scale I)

  • The candidate must be between 20-35 Years of age.
  • Should possess a Degree in Agriculture.
    OR
  • A particular specialization in Horticulture/Animal Husbandry/ Agri. Engineering/ Veterinary Science/ Dairy Science/ Fishery Science/ Agri Marketing and Cooperation/ Forestry/ Pisciculture.
  • The degree should be from a recognized institute/university.


Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale I)

  • The candidate must be between 20-35 Years of age.
  • Should possess a post Graduate Degree in Hindi with English as a subject at the degree level.
    OR
  • A post graduate degree in Sanskrit with language subjects such as Hindi and English at the degree level.


Law Officer (Scale I)

  • The candidate must be between 20-35 Years of age.
  • Should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB).


Technical Officer (Scale I)

  • The candidate must be between 20-35 Years of age.
  • Should possess a Degree in Engineering in the following streams i.e. Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical/ Production/ Metallurgy/ Electronics/ Electronics & Telecommunication/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Textile/ Chemical / B.Pharm.


HR/Personnel Officer (Scale I)

  • The candidate must be between 20-35 Years of age.
  • Should possess a Graduate degree and Post Graduate degree/diploma recognized by AICTE in Personnel Management / Industrial Relations/ HRD/Social Work / Labour Law
    OR
  • A Degree/Diploma in Business Management/ Administration with specialization in HRD
  • The degree should be from a recognized institute/ university.

Marketing Officer (Scale I)

  • The candidate must be between 20-35 Years of age.
  • Should possess an MBA (Marketing) / 2 years PGDBA / PGDBM or any other equivalent degree/diploma with specialization in Marketing.
  • The degree should be from a recognized University/ Institution.

I.T. Officer (Scale-II)

  • The candidate must be between 20-35 Years of age.
  • Should possess a Degree in Computer Applications/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Electronics/ Electronics & Telecommunications/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation

Finance Executive (Scale II)
