PSTET 2018-19 – State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Punjab is conducting the Teacher Eligibility Test to check the eligibility of candidates for appointment as Primary Teacher for Classes I to V and for Elementary (Graduate) Teacher for Classes VI to VIII Posts. The online application process for the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) is open and the last date to apply is November 25, 2019.

Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test 2018-19

PSTET detailsState Council of Educational Research and Training Punjab is responsible for conducting the Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test, or PSTET, examination. The Punjab State TET is conducted as two different papers for candidates wishing to join the Punjab School Education Board as teachers: Paper I: for recruitment of teachers from Classes I to V and Paper II: for recruitment of teachers from Classes VI to VIII.

PSTET Eligibility 2018-19

Candidates must ensure that they meet the following Punjab State TET Eligibility Criteria before applying for the exam. It is important to meet the eligibility criteria, failing which the application will be cancelled. Check detailed explanation of eligibility here.

Educational Qualification for Primary Teacher for Classes I-V
  • Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50%  and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) OR
  • Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations 2002.OR
  • Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% and 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2 years Diploma in Education (Special Education)
    AND
  • Pass in Teacher Eligibility Test to be conducted by the appropriate government in accordance with the guidelines framed by the NCTE.

 

Educational Qualification for Graduate Teacher for Classes VI-VIII
  • B.A./ B.Sc. and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) OR
  • B.A./ B.Sc. with 50% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.). OR
  • B.A./ B.Sc. with at least 45% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations issued from time to time.
  • Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4- years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years B.A/ B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed OR
  • B.A/ B.Sc with at least 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)
    AND
  • Pass in Teacher Eligibility Test to be conducted by the appropriate government in accordance with the guidelines framed by the NCTE.

State Council of Educational Research and Training Punjab has released the official notification for the PSTET 2018-19 on 03rd November 2019 and finally, the wait is over for the candidates who wanted to apply for this test. TET Punjab Pattern 2018-19

Every applicant who is going to appear for the Punjab State TET must have knowledge about the Exam Pattern and Syllabus. Check Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test Pattern 2018-19 with the latest syllabus. There will be separate papers for Primary Teacher and Graduate Teacher Both the papers will consist of Objective Type Questions and will be conducted on the same day in two different sessions. There will be two papers of the TET i.e. PaperI & II. Paper-I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V. Paper-II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII. A person who intends to be a teacher either for classes I to V or for classes VI to VIII will have to appear in both papers (Paper I and Paper II).

PSTET Syllabus 2018-19

PSTET Admit Card 2018-19

After applying online, keep an eye on SCERT Admit Cards page to download PSTET Admit Card. The PSTET Hall Ticket will be released by the SCERT on 9th December 2019. The candidates can download the hall ticket from this page by entering Registration ID. No candidate will be allowed to appear at the exam center without the hall ticket.

PSTET Result 2018-19
