NTA UGC NET June 2020 – The National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of University Grants Commission has released an official notification of National Eligibility Test i.e UGC NET to determine the eligibility of the candidates for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor in Indian universities and colleges. The application process for NTA NET is open and the last date to apply is 16th April 2020 (11:50 PM).

UGC NET 2020
NTA is holding an exam in June to check the eligibility of the Indian nationals for ‘Assistant Professor’ and for ‘Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor’ in 81 subjects in Indian universities and colleges. Candidates with Post Graduation Degree, have a golden chance to become Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellow. The interested candidates can check the eligibility criteria before applying for the exam.

Candidates must ensure that they meet the following UGC NET Eligibility Criteria before applying for the exam. It is necessary to meet all eligibility conditions i.e. nationality, age limit, and educational qualification. Check detail explanation of eligibility here.

|Age Limit||(i) For JRF, the maximum age is 30 years as on 1st June 2020. (Upper age limit is relaxable for OBC/ SC/ ST/ PWD/ Transgender/ EXM/ Women and candidates having LLM Degree, etc. as per Govt of India rules.)|
(ii) No upper age limit for Assistant Professor.
|Qualification||(i) Master’s Degree or equivalent examination with at least 55% marks (50% marks in case of OBC-NCL / SC/ ST /PwD/ Transgender category candidates) from any recognised university in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science and Applications, Electronic Science etc|
(ii) The Ph.D. degree holders whose Master’s level examination have been completed by 19 September 1991 shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks for appearing in NET.
During NTA NET 2020 online application, candidates need to pay the Non-refundable application fee of Rs. 1000/-. All OBC-NCL and EWS candidates have to pay Rs. 500/- and SC/ ST/ PWD/ Transgender candidates have to pay Rs. 250/-.

NTA NET Exam Pattern
To start preparation for an exam, you must know its exam pattern. The exam shall be conducted as a Computer Based Test (CBT) that will consist of 02 papers. Both the papers will consist of objective type questions. There will be no break between papers.

NTA NET Syllabus
Candidates should be totally aware of the syllabus before appearing for the exam. UGC NET Paper 1 will be common paper and Paper 2 will be subject-based. Candidates will have to select the subject of their post-graduation for NET Exam.
