DRDO CEPTAM (Technician A) Exam Pattern 2019

DRDO Technician Exam PatternDRDO CEPTAM has released notification for the post of Technician ‘A’ and candidates can apply online before June 26, 2019.   • Number of Examination Phases: Two i.e : (Tier-I) and (Tier-II)
  • Examination Mode: Online
  • Types of Questions: Objective and Multiple Choice Questions
  • Medium: English and Hindi
  • Marking Criteria: +1 for each correct answer
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks: (Tier-I): 40% for UR/OBC and for SC/ST 35%.

Tier-I Computer Based Test (Provisional Selection)

Tier-I (CBT) will consist of objective type multiple choice questions only. The exam will be bilingual i.e. Hindi and English. The provisional selection will be based on the merit obtained in Tier-I examination depending upon the post/ category/ sub-category of the candidate. The minimum qualifying marks for Tier-I is 40% for UR/ OBC candidates and 35% for SC/ ST candidates.

Tier-II Trade Test (Qualifying in Nature)

Trade Test will be of ITI level in the related trade, to test the practical skills of the candidates. The trade test may be of about one to two hours duration. It is to be noted that the schedule for Trade Test will be available after declaration of Tier-I examination result.

Final selection is based on Written Exam, Skill Test, Trade Test, Physical Test, Medical Test and Interview as per the requirement. Please note, there will be preliminary document verification along with Tier-II.

Important Points:

  1. Candidates will be provisionally shortlisted based on Tier-I examination merit in a ratio of
    1:12 (No.of Vacancy: No. of Shortlisted Candidates). However, this ratio may increase depending
    upon organisational requirements.
  2. Shortlisted candidates will be called for Tier-II (Trade Test). It is mandatory to qualify
    Tier-II (Trade Test) for final selection.
  3. It is reiterated that it is also mandatory for shortlisted candidates to pass the prescribed
    skill/ trade/ physical/ medical tests, as per  the norms, wherever applicable.
  4. If there are two or more candidates in the same category having equal marks, the candidate
    older in age will get preference.
  5. The organisation can change the selection criteria as per the requirement.
