Defence Jobs – Indian Defence Recruitment

Defence Exams – Eligibility Criteria for Defence Jobs

The defence sector of India recruits eligible soldiers through various exams and interviews conducted by the different agencies under MoD. Some of the exams are NDA Exam, Combined Defence Services Examination (CDS), Indian Air Force Airmen Selection, Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT), Indian Navy SSR, and others. Apart from this, candidates also hired through SSB Interviews like Indian Navy – University Entry Scheme, Indian Army Education Corps Recruitment, Indian Navy Armament Inspection Cadre, and many more.

It is important to note that eligibility criteria is different for each recruitment. For some particular positions candidates can apply after 12th standard and for others, graduation is a compulsory requirement. For Navy and Air Force subjects like Physics and Mathematics, are must in 10+2 class. For Army, candidates can apply after 10th also for positions like Cook, Constable, Multi Tasking Staff and others. For Engineering cadre BE/ B.Tech degree is must to get the job. The age limit is 18-27 years required in most cases. However, in some positions, it may vary. Relaxation in age is also given to candidates as per the guidelines.
