Qualification Details
Airmen (Unmarried Male) in Group X and Y Trades
  • Group-X (Except Education Instructor Trade):  Passed Intermediate/10+2/ Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English from an Educational Board listed as COBSE member with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. Or Passed Three years Diploma Course in Engineering in any stream with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in diploma (or in Intermediate/ Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course).
  • Group-Y (Except Automobile Technician, Indian Air Force (Police), Indian Air Force (Security), Medical Assistant and Musician) Trades: Passed Intermediate/ 10+2/ Equivalent Examination in any stream/ subjects approved by Central/ State Education Boards listed as COBSE member with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. Or Passed two years vocational course from Education Boards listed as COBSE member with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in the vocational course or in Intermediate/Matriculation if English is not a subject in Vocational Course.
  • Group-Y Medical Assistant Trade: Passed 10+2/ Intermediate/ equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from an Educational Board listed as COBSE member with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
Pay Scale
Group-X Trades (Except Education Instructor)Rs.33,100/- per month + Dearness allowance
Group-Y (Except IAF(S) & Musician) TradesRs. 26,900/- per month + Dearness allowance
Selection Procedure
Stage-I: Online TestStage-II: Physical Fitness Test
 Stage-III: Adaptability Test Stage-IV: Medical Examination
(a) Candidate born between 17 January 2000 and 30 December 2003 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply.
(b) In case, a candidate clears all the stages of the selection procedure, then the upper age limit as on date of enrolment is 21 years.
Examination Fee
  • Examination fee of Rs.250/- is to be paid by the candidate while registering for the online examination.
  • The payment can be made by using Debit/ Credit Cards/ Internet Banking through payment gateway or by Challan payment at any Axis Bank Branch.
How to Download IAF Admit Card?
  • Step-I: Click on the below-mentioned Online Test Admit Card link.
  • Step-II: The Link will redirect you to Admit Card downloading page.
  • Step-III: A window will appear that requires Email Id and Password.
  • Step-IV: Fill the required details in the text boxes and click on the Sign In button.
  • Step-V: Download the admit card and take a printout of it.

Note: Candidates must carry Airmen Admit Card along with one photo identity proof such as voter card, pan card, aadhar card etc to the examination hall on the day of exam.
